Onward and, well, Onward! :

Location : Pine Barrens, NJ

After an uneventful journey down PineyHollow Road (seriously, I couldn't make this stuff up), we arrive in the vicinity of "The Blue Hole". We get out our trusty rubber dinghy and we make our way up the creek where we make land and then scope out our campsite. We find a small area of ground, relatively clear of brush and debris and only about 20 feet away from the hole itself. Fantastic!

The air is still and there is no noise. Nothing, zip, zero, zilch. No wildlife noises or birdsong. It is eerily quiet, perhaps a little too quiet (how many more cliches do you think we can get away with) but we setup camp and get ready to explore the area. Rage and Moss head off to scout out the area while Hattori and myself collect samples from the hole and surrounding dirt and foliage.

Using our trusty, portable analysing lab we ran many, many, many test and analyses on the samples to better understand what we are dealing with (Hattori's Note - We do this wherever we go, it does not help us at all but it makes Dr Onion feel like he is doing something useful!) and whether there is any kind of natural phenomenon which can explain the sightings and strange noises - perhaps pockets of natural gas or phospherous deposits etc. (Hattori's Note - actually this was kinda helpful this time)
